I am honing my storytelling craft after thirty years as an emergency physician, mother, and observer of the human condition. I will be creating new entries and pulling in some of my published works. Thanks for coming along.
After Emergency Medicine…

#89 Walking to Carisbrooke and Yarmouth
It’s Britain so of course, we visited a castle. This one actually served as the prison for a king. Carisbrooke Castle is well worth visiting near Newport on the Isle of Wight. We checked out Ventnor and Yarmouth too in the last of my Isle of Wight posts. We had a lovely week.

#88 Hurry, Closing Soon!
Hurry to see a great one man show and museum exhibit in New York City. Come along on another whirlwind weekend in Manhatten with two Broadway shows, great restaurants, and Belgian beer on tap. Cheers!

#87 Finding Donkeys and Ruins
Come back with me to the Isle of Wight for part 2 of my travel blog. We saw a ruined country estate and a donkey sanctuary. In Cowes, we visited the waterfront and found a great pub for lunch. Read more about our family hiking trip to the Isle of Wight.

#86 Discover the Isle of Wight
Of course, Americans don’t know about the Isle of Wight. The Brits are keeping this little gem of a destination to themselves. Read Part 1 of my travel blog.
