Join me for part 2 of my trip to Portugal. We leave Lisbon and head northward to Tomar and Porto. The journey holds amazing scenery and a magnificent monastery from the Middle Ages.

Here is the first installment of my recent trip to Portugal. We started with a long and tasty weekend in Lisbon or more accurately: Lisboa. We started out wet, but the sun soon shone on castles, palaces and colorful mosaic tiles.

Conversion means many different things in many different settings. I share a reflection on one conversion that reminded me of another.

Medical training is really hard for a lot of reasons we expect and many that we don’t. We should ease up on the overwork and harsh feed-back. Even if we could fix the flaws, the reality can be harsh. It’s better to go in with your eyes wide open.
